We received a submission about art put up on Massachusett and Pawtucket land that serves as a reminder of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.
“75 years ago, over 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes in what is referred to as the Nakba — translated as “Catastrophe” in English. The genocide of Palestinians continues today as Israeli forces ruthlessly bomb forcibly displaced Palestinians in refugee camps across Gaza, and violence at the hands of illegal settlers and IOF forces ratchets up in the West Bank.
This Nakba Day, Boston-area artist-activists took to the streets to remember the martyrs, reclaim public space, and remind their neighbors that the Nakba never ended.
The people will continue to rise up in solidarity with our oppressed siblings and in defiance of state-sponsored terror and ethnic cleansing.
From the river to the sea, Palestine with be free!”
